The Budgies’ Prayer


Two little budgies had a little prayer
They wanted God to hear

“We thank you dear Creator
For each other’s company

We thank you for the
Budgie seeds and millet we get everyday

We thank you for the safe little homes
We rest in every night

We thank you for our mommy
Who love and care for us

We thank you for our
Gift of speech

We especially want to thank you
For the ability to fly”

    There is a deep spiritual sense to ‘The Budgie’s Prayer’…giving thanks for who we are and what we have…I have no further words to describe the embracing feeling that comes over me when I read this poem…it is from the heart.
